I was so sick of the word 'Hootenanny' by the end of the night though!I thought he was quite annoying at times although he did have some good guests on the show. </p> <p>There was a bit of drama during the night when my brother and his girlfriend seemed to have a bit of a fight. Im not entirely sure what happened to be honest, im one of those people who is always last to notice something going on so i didnt realise anything had happened until it was basically over!<br> I did feel a bit left out when everyone else was in couples but overall it was a nice night. Everyone was in bed by half 12! I have a few photos of the night but havent had the chance to upload them yet.</p> <p>Ive decided to make some New Year Resolutions but in a different way to the last few years because i always seem to have difficulty keeping them! I wont do the usual 'join the gym in January and never go again' stunt. ive decided i hate the gym... just looking at an exercise bike makes me break into a sweat! Joining a gym in January is such a waste of money unless you are certain you are going to keep on going after the first few weeks of January. and i can never be certain of that because my willpower is usually zero! </p> <p>Anyway, New Year's Resolutions.....<br> 1) Lose all my back fat which appeared after too many trips to Munchies at uni! haha<br> 2) Do a bit more exercise even if it is just walking more<br> 3) Be more decisive<br> 4) Be more confident and stay that way!<br> 5) Be a bit more outgoing and accept more invitations to go out<br> 6) Make new friends and keep in contact with old ones!</p> <p>Today has been quite peaceful even though there is 10 people still in our house. we've just spent most of the day watching really cheesy films like Sister Act 2 and Mary Poppins <img src="/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt=":roll:" class="middle" border="0"><br> Maybe one of my resolutions should be to spend my time more productively!!</p> <p><strong>I hope 2008 is a great year for everyone!</strong>xxx</p> <p> <small> <a href="http://ashleylouise.blog.co.uk/2008/01/01/happy_new_year~3515479/#comments">Comments</a> </small> </p>tag:ashleylouise.blog.co.uk,2007-12-31:/2007/12/31/goodbye~3511286/ashleylouise2007-12-31T15:21:41+01:002007-12-31T17:09:40+01:00 <p>Well its 31st December 2007 and in 10 hours it will be the official end of 2007! </p> <p>It hasnt been the best of years this year and i hope that 2008 will be much better!</p> <p>SO..what happened in 2007? REVIEW</p> <p>I spent the first half of the year doing my A-levels which couldnt exactly be classed as fun, although in August i found out that i managed to pass them all which was possibly the only highlight of the year.</p> <p>Oh, and my 18th birthday..that was a milestone..a very drunken one. The family meal was surprisingly good (seeing as how our family gatherings dont always go to plan!) although after a bottle of champagne and a few vodka redbulls, im not surprised the night went well. </p> <p>LOW POINTS of the year would have to be starting my 2nd choice uni in September, then dropping out in November. Not quite the way i wanted to end the year but the course wasnt really for me so i suppose i made the right choice. I had a lot of fun while i was there so i cant complain... this would include freshers week! </p> <p><img src="http://data3.blog.de/media/230/2246230_ae12fef073_s.jpg" alt="n504585314_1260949_1558[1]" vspace="5" hspace="5"><img src="http://data3.blog.de/media/231/2246231_3eb5285a95_s.jpg" alt="n504585314_1260916_5065[1]" vspace="5" hspace="5"><br> This was a hawaiian night during freshers week when i somehow managed to acquire a blonde wig from someone! Ive never been on so many random nights out in all my life before i got to uni... specially random fancy dress nights just for the hell of it! </p> <p>2007 was the year that i left school, so we had a leavers dinner and a leavers ball. Both nights were really good...<br> <img src="http://data3.blog.de/media/244/2246244_b68a114a03_s.jpg" alt="IMG_2158" vspace="5" hspace="5"><img src="http://data3.blog.de/media/245/2246245_4f1694cf13_s.jpg" alt="IMG_2139" vspace="5" hspace="5"><br> Although the leavers dinner may have been spoilt when the headteacher went on a feminist rant for about 20 minutes.. the male teachers werent too impressed! I just went back to the school for a prize giving night and it was already really strange. I think it was because i realised the school was still running even though i wasnt there anymore. I think il miss it. </p> <p>Anyway, plans for tonight are still quite up in the air. The plan i think is to go to the pub for a bit then coming back to the house to continue the drinking. A few years ago i used to go out to town with my friends before i realised that it was the biggest let down of a night out... you could never get served at the bar because of the queues and when i rang up for a taxi they actually laughed me off the phone. <img src="/img/smilies/icon_confused.gif" alt=":-/" class="middle" border="0"></p> <p>Im not looking forward to tonight too much, mainly because im in a group full of couples.I should explain that i have a twin sister who has managed to be tall, thin, blonde and have big boobs showing the unfairness of genetics, especially since i should share 50% of her genetics and i have none of these qualities!</p> <p>I should be used to now but i can just picture it now..<br> My mam and stepdad<br> My brother and his girlfriend<br> My sister and her boyfriend<br> Ashley and ...vodka! </p> <p>Oh well...heres to 2008, hope everyone has a fantastic year! haha xx <img src="/img/smilies/icon_wave.gif" alt=":wave:" class="middle" border="0"></p> <p> <small> <a href="http://ashleylouise.blog.co.uk/2007/12/31/goodbye~3511286/#comments">Comments</a> </small> </p>
